One of the most common types of hoodie is a 50-50 blend of cotton and polyester. Higher end hoodies are made of an 80-20 polycotton blend, or a 50-50 polycotton blend with a fleece-spun interior. Let’s go over the pros and cons of each.
Basic Hoodies:
Basic hoodies are made of a 50-50 polycotton blend that gives the hoodie it’s signature comfortable feel, while still being durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of frequent use. These hoodies typically have a more baggy or boxy fit, which some people find appealing. The Port & Company PC78H – Core Fleece Pullover Hooded Sweatshirt, is a prime example of a basic hoodie. It’s definitely the work horse of the hooded sweatshirt world. It’s 50-50 polycotton blend makes it easy to wear, yet hardy and built for longevity.
